Echeveria pulidonis is a slow-growing, stemless succulent forming tight, 5-inch wide rosettes of fleshy, pale blue-green leaves with distinctive, sharp red edges and tips. Native to Mexico, it thrives in bright sun, often blooming in spring with bright yellow, bell-shaped flowers on red stalks. 

Key Characteristics and Description:

  • Appearance: Forms compact, symmetrical rosettes of thick, in-curved, pale blue-green or mint-green leaves that are flat on top and rounded underneath.
  • Coloration: Leaves are outlined in a vivid crimson or red margin, particularly when exposed to strong sunlight.
  • Texture: Leaves are coated in a powdery, silvery wax called farina.
  • Size: Individual rosettes usually reach 3–5 inches (
  • Flowers: Produces bell-shaped, yellow flowers on red-tinged, arching stems, typically in spring or winter.
  • Hardiness/Care: Hardy to USDA Zones 9-12. It requires well-draining soil, infrequent watering (only when dry), and bright light to maintain its compact form.
